Amarenalytics Talks F1 - 2026 Miami Grand Prix
📊 Amarenalytics talks Formula 1 🏁 🏎️
Let's review the fourth race of the season, the 2026 Miami Grand Prix.
🏆 Antonelli Dominates Miami as Mercedes Extends Championship Lead
Kimi Antonelli converted pole position into a commanding victory at the 2026 Miami Grand Prix, with McLaren's Lando Norris taking second and Oscar Piastri completing the podium in third. The result marks Antonelli's fourth consecutive race win, cementing his position as the championship frontrunner.
The race was marred by four mechanical DNFs: Pierre Gasly and Liam Lawson retired from points-scoring positions, while Isack Hadjar and Nico Hulkenberg failed to finish from the midfield. Most significantly, Charles Leclerc dropped from P3 on the grid to P8 at the finish, scoring just 4 points, a devastating result for Ferrari's championship hopes.
Mercedes now lead the Constructors' Championship with 180 points, holding a commanding 70-point gap over Ferrari in second place with 110 points. McLaren sit third with 94 points.
In the drivers' standings, Kimi Antonelli leads with 100 points. George Russell sits second with 80 points, while Charles Leclerc is third with 59 points. Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris are tied for fourth with 51 points each.
👏 The Good
Kimi ANTONELLI (P1 → P1) — Pole to victory. The Mercedes teenager is simply untouchable right now. A dominant lights-to-flag performance in Miami to extend his championship lead. Four races in, and the Italian rookie is the story of the 2026 season.
Lando NORRIS (P1 → P2) — Lando starts from pole but can't hold off Antonelli, finishing second. 18 points is a strong haul, but starting from pole and finishing second will sting for McLaren.
Oscar PIASTRI (P3 → P3) — Oscar holds his grid position exactly and finishes on the podium. Consistent, but no ground gained.
George RUSSELL (P5 → P4) — George moves up one spot from his grid position to score 12 points. Solid, composed, but George needs a win in Canada.
Franco COLAPINTO (P8 → P7) — Franco gains one spot and scores 6 points for Alpine. A clean, measured drive from the Argentine. Alpine will take that.
Carlos SAINZ (P13 → P9) — Carlos gains four positions from deep in the midfield to snatch 2 points for Williams. A strong recovery drive from the Spaniard.
Alexander ALBON (P15 → P10) — Five positions gained from P15 to snatch the final championship point. A brilliant drive from Alex, Williams score a point from both cars this weekend.
Oliver BEARMAN (P12 → P11) — Ollie gains one spot and finishes just outside the points. A clean race from the Haas youngster.
Esteban OCON (P14 → P13) — Esteban gains one spot. Quiet but forward progress for Haas.
Arvid LINDBLAD (P16 → P14) — Two positions gained for the Racing Bulls rookie. Steady.
🤔 The Unremarkable
Max VERSTAPPEN (P2 → P5) — Max drops three places from a front-row start to finish fifth. Red Bull are nowhere near the pace of the top three teams.
Lewis HAMILTON (P6 → P6) — Lewis holds his grid position exactly. Ferrari will want more from him, but 8 points is 8 points.
Gabriel BORTOLETO (P11 → P12) — Gabriel drops one spot from a decent grid position. A frustrating afternoon for the Audi rookie who will feel he had more to give.
Sergio PEREZ (P17 → P16) — Checo gains one spot. Cadillac remain scoreless but at least both cars finished.
Valtteri BOTTAS (P19 → P18) — Valtteri gains one spot. Another quiet afternoon for the Finn.
😬 The Ugly
Charles LECLERC (P3 → P8) — Charles drops five positions from P3 on the grid to finish eighth. A nightmare race for the Monégasque. From a potential podium to P8 and just 4 points is a big swing in his championship hopes.
Nico HULKENBERG (P10 → DNF) — Nico retires from a promising P10 grid slot. Audi lost what could have been a points finish, a painful retirement for the German.
Isack HADJAR (P9 → DNF) — Isack retires from P9 on the grid. Red Bull's second car failed to score again, a double blow for the Milton Keynes outfit alongside Verstappen's poor result.
Pierre GASLY (P9 → DNF) — Pierre retires from P9. Alpine lost a guaranteed points finish, especially painful given Colapinto's P7 showed the car had the pace.
Liam LAWSON (P11 → DNF) — Liam retires from P11. Racing Bulls failed to score from either car, with Lindblad's P14 the only classified result. A miserable afternoon for the Faenza team.
Fernando ALONSO (P17 → P15) — Fernando gains two spots. Still pointless this season, pretty ugly situation given everyone’s expectations from Aston.
Lance STROLL (P18 → P17) — Lance gains one spot. Aston Martin at least have both cars classified, but they are nowhere near where they should be.
Episode 5 will cover the Canadian Grand Prix 🏁 🏎️

Amarenalytics Talks F1 - 2026 Japanese Grand Prix
📊 Amarenalytics talks Formula 1 🏁 🏎️
Let's review the third race of the season, the 2026 Japanese Grand Prix.
🏆 Antonelli Unstoppable in Suzuka, Mercedes Extend Their Dominance
Kimi Antonelli converted pole position into a commanding victory at the 2026 Japanese Grand Prix, making it back-to-back wins for the young Italian.
Mercedes continue their imperious form, now leading the Constructors' Championship with 135 points, a 45-point gap over Ferrari in second.
In the Drivers' standings, Antonelli has now leapfrogged Russell to lead on 72 points, with Russell on 63 and Leclerc a distant third on 49.
👏 The Good
Antonelli (P1 → P1) — Pole to victory again. Kimi is simply in a class of his own right now. Three races in, and the Italian driver is leading the championship. Extraordinary.
Piastri (P3 → P2) — Oscar climbs one spot from his qualifying position to take a strong P2 for McLaren. After the DNS nightmare in China, this is a much needed response from the Australian.
Norris (P5 → P5) — Lando holds his grid position and scores 10 points. After missing the Chinese GP entirely, any points are welcome at McLaren.
Ocon (P12 → P10) — Esteban gained two spots from P12 on the grid to snatch the final championship point for Haas. A quiet but effective drive.
Lawson (P14 → P9) — Liam gained 5 positions from the back of the midfield to score 2 points for Racing Bulls. Solid racecraft.
Sainz (P16 → P15) — Carlos gained a position but remains pointless. Still, forward progress for Williams.
🤔 The Unremarkable
Russell (P2 → P4) — George drops two places from his front-row start and loses the championship lead to his teammate. A frustrating afternoon for the Brit.
Leclerc (P4 → P3) — Charles gains one spot to take the final podium position, but Ferrari will feel they needed more from their pace. A podium is a podium, but it feels underwhelming.
Hamilton (P6 → P6) — Lewis holds his grid position exactly. Consistent, but Ferrari will want more from their seven time world champion.
Gasly (P7 → P7) — Pierre holds position throughout. Alpine score 6 points but will feel the midfield battle is slipping away.
Verstappen (P11 → P8) — Max gains 3 spots from P11 to score 4 points. A recovery of sorts, but Red Bull are nowhere near the front runners.
Hadjar (P8 → P12) — Isack drops 4 places from a decent qualifying position. Red Bull's second car continues to underperform.
Hulkenberg (P13 → P11) — Nico gains 2 spots but misses the points. Audi remain stuck on 2 points for the season.
Bortoleto (P9 → P13) — Gabriel drops 4 places from a promising P9 grid slot. A disappointing race for the Audi rookie.
Lindblad (P10 → P14) — Arvid drops 4 positions from P10. Racing Bulls' second car struggles to convert qualifying pace into race results.
Colapinto (P15 → P16) — Franco drops one spot. Alpine's second car continues to struggle.
Perez (P19 → P17) — Sergio gains 2 spots but remains pointless. Cadillac are yet to trouble the scorers.
Bottas (P20 → P19) — Valtteri gains one spot. Another anonymous afternoon for the Finn.
Albon (P17 → P20) — Alexander drops 3 places to finish last of the classified runners. A tough day for Williams.
😬 The Ugly
Bearman (P18 → DNF) — Oliver's race ends in retirement from a scary crash after starting from P18. Haas lose a potential points haul from their second car, especially painful given Ocon's P10.
Stroll (P22 → DNF) — Lance retires from last on the grid. Aston Martin remain on zero points after three races. The Silverstone outfit are in crisis.
Alonso (P21 → P18) — Fernando gains 3 spots but finishes last of the classified runners alongside his teammate's DNF. Aston Martin are yet to score a single point in 2026. A brutal start to the season for the two-time world champion.

Amarenalytics Talks F1 - 2026 Chinese Grand Prix
📊 Amarenalytics talks Formula 1 🏁 🏎️
Let's review the second race of the season, the 2026 Chinese Grand Prix.
🏆 Mercedes Delivers a 1-2 in Shanghai but it's Antonelli's Day
Kimi Antonelli converted pole position into a dominant victory at the 2026 Chinese Grand Prix, with George Russell completing a Mercedes 1-2.
It is the first win for Kimi who, at 19 years old, is the second youngest F1 race winner in history
The Silver Arrows now lead the Constructors' Championship with 98 points, a commanding 31-point gap over Scuderia Ferrari in second.
In the drivers' standings, Russell leads on 51 points with Antonelli very close second with 47 points.
👏 The Good
Antonelli (P1 → P1) — Pole to victory. Kimi made this look easy, despite a small error in the final laps. A flawless drive to extend his championship challenge.
Russell (P2 → P2) — Controlled, clinical, and consistent. George keeps the championship lead despite his teammate taking the win.
Hamilton (P3 → P3) — Lewis converts his front-row start into the first podium with Ferrari. Great battles with Leclerc and a big confidence boost for Lewis.
Bearman (P10 → P5) — The standout mover of the race. Oliver jumped 5 places from P10 on the grid to score 10 points for Haas. A real statement drive.
Lawson (P14 → P7) — Gained 7 positions from the back of the midfield to score 6 points for Racing Bulls. Quietly impressive.
Sainz (P17 → P9) — Carlos climbed 8 places from a lowly grid slot to sneak into the points for Williams. A masterclass in race craft.
Colapinto (P12 → P10) — Franco grabbed the final point for Alpine, gaining 2 spots. Every point counts in this midfield battle.
🤔 The Unremarkable
Leclerc (P4 → P4) — Charles held his grid position but couldn't challenge Hamilton ahead. A solid but uninspiring afternoon for the Monégasque.
Hadjar (P9 → P8) — Isack dropped one spot from qualifying to finish. With Verstappen's DNF, Red Bull needed more from their remaining car.
Gasly (P7 → P6) — Pierre gained one spot but Alpine will feel they left points on the table given Bearman and Lawson's charges through the field.
😬 The Ugly
Verstappen (P8 → DNF) — A mechanical failure ends Max's race before it really began. Red Bull score just 4 points from Hadjar's P8. A brutal weekend for Max.
Norris (P6 → DNS) — Lando didn't even make it to the grid. McLaren lose a potential haul of points with both Norris and Piastri failing to start. A catastrophic weekend for the Woking outfit.
Piastri (P5 → DNS) — The Australian also failed to start. Two DNS's in one race is almost unheard of, McLaren will have serious questions to answer.
Alonso (P18 → DNF) — Fernando's race ended with a mechanical failure. Aston Martin are yet to score a single point in 2026.
Stroll (P20 → DNF) — Lance joins his teammate in retirement. A miserable double DNF for Aston Martin.
Bortoleto (P16 → DNS) — Audi's second DNS of the season alongside Albon. A forgettable day for the new constructor.
